The craft

Four generations of Canadian wood.

Built by Bermex in Princeville, Quebec. Solid red oak from North America. Bermaguard catalyzed finish by Axalta.

01 · The maker

Bermex, four generations on.

In Princeville, Quebec, Bermex has been building solid-wood furniture for four generations. Every magictable is hand-assembled there by woodworkers who never stopped practicing the craft.

02 · The wood

North American red oak.

Red oak is chosen for its open grain, resilience to humidity swings, and the depth its pores give to all three finishes. Every tree is unique — every table carries a signature.

03 · The finish

Bermaguard — a finish built to last.

The Bermaguard catalyzed varnish is developed with Axalta, the world’s largest finishes manufacturer. It protects the table from most everyday damage and takes thirty days to cure fully.

04 · Sustainability

Furniture that crosses generations.

Bermex packs in recycled materials, consolidates deliveries into full truckloads, and runs its plants on non-polluting equipment. But the most enduring sustainable gesture is the piece itself — built to be passed down.

“The furniture you buy today might one day end up in your grandchildren’s home.”
